Harley Orion

Here’s the story: Harley has been running Orion Creative Group as his business for over 10 years, since completing college (with a BA in economics from UC Santa Cruz). He counts himself exceptionally fortunate to have avoided ever working in a cubicle, filing a TPS report, or working his way up the corporate ladder.

Instead, he has devoted himself to assembling a lean, efficient team that creates cutting edge results without the price tag of large, corporate agencies. He has worked with clients such as Amtrak, Spirit Airlines, RE/MAX Distinctive Properties, UC San Diego, Rokenbok Toy Company, and Zobmondo!! Entertainment, as well as numerous entrepreneurial ventures in software, healthcare and new media.

Orion Creative Group has never had an unprofitable year, taken a loan, or brought in investment - it's been grown organically, one account at a time. In the beginning, it was just one employee working from a desk in the corner of his bedroom in a shared apartment. Now, it’s a boutique agency with five actual rooms, and Harley finally has his own office.
 
In addition to adding his versatile leadership skills to each project taken on by Orion Creative Group, Harley is active in San Diego’s entrepreneurship community, providing pro-bono support to organizations such as the Tech Coast Angels, MIT Enterprise Forum, UCSD Entrepreneurship Challenge, Rotary Club, and other charitable organizations.
 
The real truth: If he weren’t running his own company creating killer marketing campaigns, Harley would have chosen to be either a scientist or possibly an actual rock star (he still performs with indie rock band Stripes and Lines, featured on Live Nation Concerts, FM 94.9 and more). It turns out that his own story has been just as exciting and just as demanding, if not more at times. He wouldn’t have it any other way, and he approaches every project with a personal commitment to his clients' success.
