Originally from Ohio, Amber Douglas moved to San Diego with her family in 1997. Graduating from UC Santa Barbara in 2007 with degrees in Sociology and Women's Studies, Amber remained in the area for three years working for a software company. Tired of being in a position which she was not passionate about, Amber decided to refocus her career on marketing, and moved to Chicago to work with a boutique marketing firm in the River North neighborhood.
Before meandering her way back to San Diego to be closer to her immediate family, Amber took an almost year-long detour to visit extended family and friends around the globe, including Hawaii, Argentina, Uruguay, and Australia. "I will never tire of globe-trotting, but it feels good to be in a place that I can call home."
When she's not brand shaping, you can find Amber being a tourist in her own city by frequenting the San Diego Zoo and discovering local hidden-gems, running marathons, or checking off boxes on her list of global travel destinations.
